Three Meat Chili

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef

  • 1 lb sausage

  • 1 lb thick-sliced bacon

  • 2 cans Bush’s Chili Beans

  • 2 packets McCormick Chili Seasoning

  • 1 can fire-roasted diced tomatoes

  • 2 cans Hunt’s Seasoned Diced Tomatoes in Sauce

  • 1½ cups diced onions

  • 2 tbsp miniced garlic

Directions

  1. Brown the meats: In pot, cook the ground beef and sausage together with onions until meat is browned. Drain off excess fat.

  2. Cook the bacon: In skillet, cut bacon into small pieces, and cook until crisp. Stir often to prevent burning. Add cooked bacon to the pot.

  3. Season: Sprinkle the chili seasoning packets over the meat mixture and stir well to coat.

  4. Add the rest: Add beans, all tomatoes, garlic, and 1½ cans of water. Stir thoroughly.

  5. Simmer: Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Cook for about 30 minutes, stirring often.

  6. Serve: Enjoy hot — great with shredded cheese, sour cream, cornbread and even cinnammon rolls!
