  • 2 cups fresh cranberries

  • 1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)

  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeds removed and finely chopped

  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

  • Juice of 1 lime

  • 1-2 cloves of garlic, minced

  • Salt, to taste


  1. Prepare: Rinse the cranberries and place them in a food processor. Add jalapeno, minced garlic, and cilantro. Pulse until the cranberries are finely chopped but not pureed.

  2. Combine Ingredients: Transfer to a bowl. Add sugar and mix well.

  3. Add Lime Juice and Season: Squeeze the juice of one lime into the mixture. Stir well. Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and possibly more sugar, depending on your preference for sweetness.

  4. Let It Rest: Allow the salsa to sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving. This resting period lets the flavors meld together nicely.

  5. Serve and Enjoy: Serve the cranberry salsa with chips, over cream cheese as a dip, or alongside grilled meats or fish.
